Diane Goettel is the Executive Editor of Black Lawrence Press. Her writing has recently appeared in Club Plum, Ethel, Border Crossings, Grimoire, and The Laurel Review. She lives in Mt. Vernon, New York with her family.

Elaine Hsieh Chou is a Taiwanese American author and screenwriter from California. Her debut novel Disorientation was a New York Times Editors' Choice Book, NYPL Young Lions Finalist and Thurber Prize Finalist. Her short story collection Where Are You Really From was named a 2025 Best-of-Year Selection by Time, Electric Literature and NPR. Her Pushcart Award-winning short fiction appears in Guernica, Black Warrior Review, Tin House Online, Ploughshares and The Atlantic, while her essays appear in The Cut and Vanity Fair. She is the recipient of the 2023 Fred R. Brown Literary Award and has been supported by the Rona Jaffe Foundation, the New York Foundation for the Arts, Sundance Institute and the Hedgebrook writers-in-residence program.

Eduardo C. Corral is the son of Mexican immigrants. He's the author of Guillotine, which was longlisted for the National Book Award, and Slow Lightning, which won the Yale Series of Younger Poets Competition. He’s the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Lannan Foundation Literary Fellowship, a Whiting Writers’ Award, a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, and a Hodder Fellowship from Princeton University. He teaches in the MFA program at Washington University in St. Louis.
